Marvin Gross, executive director of Union Station (unionstationhs.org), sends word of a major change for their Thanksgiving dinner in the park. “This is a very important message for all the generous families who have previously baked or prepared homemade food to drop off at our Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner-in-the-Park: Due to stricter Health Department regulations, WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE to accept turkeys or other home-prepared food donations (including side dishes, turkeys, and desserts) at the event. We know that this may be disappointing for some of you who look forward to baking for the needy, and we apologize. Please consider, instead, donating a pie through our partner, Village Cookie Shoppe, which provides jobs to those dealing with mental illness.” http://unionstationhs.org/
