Despite serving thousands of needy San Gabriel Valley residents, Santa Anita Family Service (www.santaanitafamilyservice.org) has never had a regular newsletter to their many supporters. They provide comprehensive services for babies to seniors, including counseling, academic support, and job training – basically everything that a low-income person might need to improve their quality of life. But where does their small fundraising department find the time to set up an eblast service, develop a mailing list and start using it to tell their clients’ success stories?
JRP to the rescue: we have recently placed volunteer Tim, who has a background in technical support and digital media, to help SAFS staff get their service set up in the most efficient way. Although this is an easy project for Tim, the long-term effects on SAFS may be substantial: getting the word out will help them increase donations long-term, and inspire their clients to even more successes. Thanks to Tim for sharing his expertise!
