Board Development for North East Trees

North East TreesLike many nonprofits, North East Trees (www.northeasttrees.org) was started by a passionate founder, who was the center of the organization for many years. He did a wonderful job of building an organization that improves the environment, beautifies needy neighborhoods, and teaches at-risk youth job skills. But when their founder passed away a few years ago, they felt rudder-less. They provide great services and have good infrastructure, but like most founder-centered organizations, weren’t sure how to proceed without their champion. JRP has recently completed a board development project with them, to help clarify leadership expectations and divide up the many responsibilities that the founder had managed single-handedly. We’re excited to help this great nonprofit bridge the large gap left by the passing of their founder.
