Board Development for Collaborative Eagle Rock Beautiful

CERBCollaborative Eagle Rock Beautiful (CERB – www.cerb.us) is an all-volunteer organization that works to beautify and green Eagle Rock. Their works improves health and civic pride, as well as reducing water consumption. Their founder was the center of the organization for its first several years in operation, leaving a major leadership gap when he passed away. The very engaged board knew they needed to increase their infrastructure and engage new board members and volunteers to survive. JRP volunteer Mimi worked with them for most of 2014 to set up a good infrastructure, create feasible organizational goals, and train the board on some basics, like fundraising. They’ve already implemented Mimi’s recommendations, resulting in increased giving in Dec. 2014. If you enjoy gardening or want to learn more about drought-tolerant plants, please think about volunteering with them; they’re a passionate, hard-working and fun group. Many thanks to Mimi for helping CERB make Eagle Rock a great place to live!
