Retail Consultation for Assistance League

thrift storeNationally, Assistance Leagues provide resources for the needy, including school supplies & uniforms. Many local Assistance Leagues chapters are funded by thrift stores, which provides low-cost clothes and home items and has a great environmental impact. But Assistance League chapters are all-volunteer operations, which means that they don’t have paid store managers, or necessarily have anyone with retail experience. The Assistance League of Glendale asked JRP for a retail consultation, which was a unique experience for JRP. We asked if anyone could help and found out that one of our nonprofit partners worked in retail before moving into the nonprofit sector. She has reviewed the Thrift Alley shop and made recommendations to increase revenue. If you would like to check out the great, inexpensive items, visit Thrift Alley at 314 E. Harvard Street in Glendale.
