Most JRP volunteers are experienced professionals, falling into the Baby Boomer generation. But JRP has a social media marketing intern from Pomona College over the summer, who is combining her degree in media studies and Millenial knowledge of social media to help local nonprofits. Stephanie is helping several local organizations raise their online profile, including the Frostig Center (frostig.org), which enriches and enhances the lives of children with learning disabilities. Frostig has a school, a training program for educators and a research department to learn more about learning disabilities. Because they have several programs, they have had many questions about whether to advertise their programs in separate social media profiles. Stephanie is helping them analyze their current use of social media and define the best use for each medium. Check our their various media: Facebook (facebook.com/TheFrostigCenter) and Twitter @frostigcenter.
Thank you to Stephanie for sharing your social media acumen to help kids with learning differences to get a great education!
