The United Nations Association of Pasadena is hosting a coffee talk on Sustainable Development Goals tonight (Nov. 17) at 7pm at the Armory Center for the Arts,
145 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103. Free parking on Raymond & nearby streets.

UNALearn about the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that can transform the world by year 2030! These 17 goals were adopted at the United Nations Summit in September by over 150 world leaders. Take part in our discussion on sustainable development for our people & planet.

Join us to find out answers to these crucial questions:
Why do we need another set of goals?
What are the 17 goals and how will they be measured?
How will the SDGs be funded?

Jennipha-Laurén Nielsen is the Founder & CEO of the ONE World Project, which reaches into communities across the globe to hear their views on problems of today & the future to develop creative solutions to impact their own local community.
Jennipoha was crowned Miss California World in 2011 & used her platform to advocate for programs for girls & minority students to explore the fields of science & technology. She is now involved in promoting UN activities & serving as regular lecturer at universities on issues of homelessness, hunger, climate change, women’s rights & leadership. She stands at the forefront in the City of Pasadena & State of California in promoting the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights & is currently in her second term as Commissioner of the Pasadena Commission for Accessibility & Disability.
