One of the great aspects of working with so many nonprofits is that I get to see the wonderful work that people are doing to help people with dire needs, provide access to the arts and make our world a healthy place. But it’s not everyday that I get to hang out with baboons and kangaroos.
2 attendees at our Leadership Connection board training and placement program have joined the board of Animal Tracks (animaltracksinc.org), a sanctuary in Agua Dulce. Even though it’s out of our normal service area, we want to support the organizations where our board trainees have landed, so we are creating a business plan for them. So volunteer Andy and I enjoyed our afternoon interacting with the beautiful animals and getting to know the founders who have given so much love to their animals and are educating kids and adults about how to care for animals and for our planet. Thanks to Animal Tracks for providing such a wonderful experience and thanks to Andy for helping the organization grow!
If you’d like to visit Animal Tracks, visit their website to reserve a tour time. I’m now madly in love with kangaroos! Who knew they were so sweet and soft!
